I usually find the attention to detail and luxury finish of Luxirare products mind-boggling, but once again the girl has surpassed herself. These mini-vests are lovingly crafted out of leather, designed to carry a girls necessaries - lipstick, phone, cash... and they are nothing short of perfection.
Whenever I'm really bored or I need to pass a few minutes my swipe finger automatically goes to Chicfeed on my iPhone. Its an oft-updated app that selects the best shots from The Sartorialist, Facehunter, Jak & Jil, Lookbook & Altamira - simple, but it passes any wait-in-line or ad-break pretty quicksmart!
A few days ago I went to an Exhibition about the Egyptian King Tutankhamun's Tomb and Treasures in Dublin. I was struck by the incredibly intricate jewellery this teenage king was buried with - several ornate filigree pectorals around his mummified neck and nearly 150 protective amulets, necklaces, rings and artifacts, all made of gold and semi-precious stones. This Egyptian caught on to the Statement Necklace trend nearly 3000 years before the rest of us! You can see in the third and fourth pictures, Vultures were a predominant theme, this is because they were the symbol of the Protector of Pharaoh, the Goddess of the Heavens, Nekhbet.
His tomb is also protected by some pretty hot ladies - like this confusing-booby-lion-Goddess Sekhmet, and the Goddess Isis wearing the most fabulous asymmetrical pleated maxi dress - trend much Ancient Egypt?!
